Ferrero begins its first industrial scale production.
Following the success of the company in Italy, Ferrero begins producing abroad. In 1956 a large factory in Germany is inaugurated, shortly followed by the opening of another factory in France. It was the start of a rapid expansion of Ferrero in Europe. In the following decades Ferrero expands globally.
The FERRERO ROCHER® brand is launched in several European countries. Its great success is affirmed over and over thanks to the precious golden packaging and high quality of its ingredients.
FERRERO ROCHER is launched nationally in Canada. Over the next several years, the brand grows into one of the premium chocolate category leaders.

A state-of-the-art plant was built in Brantford, Ontario. This expansion supplies NUTELLA®, FERRERO ROCHER and TIC TAC® to North American and Australian markets.
Ferrero Collection launches in Canada. This assortment of chocolates includes FERRERO ROCHER, RAFFAELLO® and Rondnoir.
GRAND FERRERO ROCHER and FERRERO GOLDEN GALLERY® launches in Canada. A new delicacy from FERRERO ROCHER, the Grand Ferrero Rocher is a delicious chocolate shell with fragrant hazelnut pieces, and two exquisite FERRERO ROCHER inside. The new "Grand" gift to enjoy together with your loved ones. FERRERO GOLDEN GALLERY is a new assortment of pralines which includes FERRERO ROCHER, MANDERLY®, Rondnoir, Tenderly White, Tenderly Torroncino and Cappuccino.
Ferrero Delicius Black Symphony and Ferrero Tenderly Biancoretti are added to the FERRERO GOLDEN GALLERY®. Delicius is an intense dark chocolate filling embracing a delicious black pearl in the centre while Tenderly Biancoretti offers a delicate white chocolate filled with a crispy almond centre. GRAND FERRERO ROCHER is now offered in an even bigger size with four delectable FERRERO ROCHER inside for an even grander gift to share.

We identify ourselves with the motto "Work, create, donate", which was conceived and introduced by Michele Ferrero at the very beginning of his business. In essence, we favour the "ethics of doing" over the "practice of appearing". This philosophy has inspired, and continues to still inspire, the Ferrero Foundation. Created to maintain the Group's relations with its retirees through social and cultural programs, the foundation is also devoted to improving the living conditions of communities in developing countries where we operate, with particular attention paid to children and related programs. The whole Ferrero Group constantly engages in activities to give back as an integral part of our practices since the very beginning.
